What a lovely little star of a place, love the cake and a hot cuppa tea, and a nice view of the old seven bridge. Nice mix of seating
This coffee shop is absolutely amazing. I was expecting a greasy spoons but wow was I wrong. Had a cheese leek and potato pasty, it made me feel as if I was sitting in a cafe in St Ives. My wife had a mozzarella and pesto plus tomato toastie. The food was all home made and prepared fresh and wow you could tell. If you are visiting Chepstow you should definitely give it a try, it's just off the Chepstow junction, M48. The views in the cafe are fabulously breathtaking. The staff are brilliant too and I have to say it was so so clean. A big thank you to the staff for making us feel a so welcome. Definitely coming back soon.
I'll be honest, I was really sceptical about Nellie's at first because the menu seemed really uninspiring. From the menu, you would think that they just served the most basic sandwiches with standard fillings. Is it really worth a go for flavours you can get from a Tesco meal deal? The reason why I pushed myself to go regardless of the initial scepticism is because Nellie's is famous for being one of, if not the, most dog-friendly cafe in Chepstow. They do a full doggie menu. I ordered a 'Pup'kin Spice Latte (pumpkin puree and cream) and a cooked sausage for Peanut the labrador and he absolutely loved it. On the human side of things, I had a corned beef pasty served warm which came from a side salad and coleslaw, a sausage roll (also served with the same), fried seasoned potato wedges, and a slice of bread pudding. This, along with the doggie items purchased and 2 soft drinks, came to a grand total of just another 20, which was a fair price for leaving full! The corned beef pasty was very well seasoned on the inside and delicious. The coleslaw mix and salad were deceptively simple, but also flavoured well. The sausage roll had a delicious and buttery pastry and the bread pudding was also well flavoured. Essentially, even though Nellie's menu has only the basics, they do the basics absolutely right and a far cry from the Tesco meal deal that I was expecting. I definitely will be back with Peanut!
Great food freshly prepared, good price and generous portions. I was served by Cathy who was absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble! I loved my first visit and will certainly go back soon
A really cozy place to have breakfast or lunch. Plenty of vegetarian options with reasonable prices and good portions. Love spending time here. Dogs are welcome and you can see many well behaved dogs visiting the place. Located within the Wye valley country store. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating also available for sunny days.
My go to place for breakfast, hot drinks & meetings with friends in Chepstow. I meet up here regularly with some other locals and the staff are always friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Called in for coffee and a snack. Great coffee and a very obliging host, as we shared a sandwich, which was split across two plates with accompanying salad and crisps. Upstairs above a country store, but has lift access if required. Great views of the severn Estuary, with outdoor seating on a balcony for an uninterrupted view. Dogs welcome too. Will visit again when in area.
Beautiful cafe, I came with some friends who were playing in a cricket match near by. The staff were lovely and all our items arrived quickly and beautifully presented. I would definitely go back again!
